This Week I...

Watched- The Secret Life of Pets 2 in theaters and Dead to Me, Bonding, and When They See Us on Netflix. My mom and I took my nieces to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 in theaters. It was ok, definitely not my favorite kid's movie, but it's always fun to hang out with my nieces. This week I also watched Dead to Me on Netflix. I thought that the first season was 13 episodes, but it was only 10. I was not at all prepared for it to end when and how it did. A second season is coming and I hope it's longer. The characters are really interesting and the story could go so many ways. Bonding randomly popped up on my Netflix suggestions because I watched the Good Place. There's really nothing in common between the two shows except they have one of the same actors. However, I loved Bonding. The episodes were super short, so I watched the whole season in under two hours. I hope it comes back for another season. We need more shows that are as sex positive as this one was. Finally, I watched When They See Us. This four part limited series was about the famous "Central Park 5" case. I had a vague idea of what that case was, but I didn't know all the goings on around the case until I watched this series. The first episode of the show devastated me, then the last episode absolutely wrecked me. I was just crying and crying and crying for the five boys, but specifically for Korey. Our "justice" system has got to change.

Read- One Summer Night by Caridad Pineiro. I read the second book in the series first on accident, but oh well. It's a romance novel, so you pretty much know what's going to happen anyway.

Listened to- Asking for a Friend, Lauren Conrad's podcast. The first one I listened to was a conversation between Lauren and her Little Market business partner, Hannah. I love the idea behind Little Market and I'm always fascinated when learning how and why businesses started.

Celebrated- Father's Day. My dad is the best. He does so much for me all the time. Just this week I randomly called him because I bought a bed frame at a church sale. I knew that it wouldn't fit in my car, but I needed the bed frame. So I called my dad. He stopped everything he was doing and helped me transport the bed frame. That's just one example of the MANY things he does for me.

Visited- the auto body repair shop. Last week, I went to leave work and my car wouldn't move. It had been working fine when I drove to work, but then just stopped. I shifted into every gear and it wouldn't go anywhere. I had it towed to the repair place and found out that the wires that connect the gear shift to the ignition were frayed. Luckily, they were able to fix it in just a few hours and for a pretty decent price. I was very thankful for that.

Ate- an Uncrustable. I saw a big box of them at the grocery store and decided I needed to have them. It had been forever since I ate one, but man oh man, it still hit the spot. It was delicious.

Wore- muted patriotic tones. I love America and am all about dressing for the Fourth of July, so I'm slowly easing myself into red, white, and blue all day, everyday.
