This Week I…

Watched- New Amsterdam, Grown-ish, Cheer, on Netflix and Just Mercy in theaters. New Amsterdam is a show that my sister and I watch together every week. This week the show came back from winter break and man was it intense. I would highly recommend it. This week Grown-ish also came back from winter break. The premiere ended on a CLIFFHANGER! I can’t wait to watch next week’s episode. Cheer on Netflix is about a junior college cheerleading team, coach by Monica. I want Monica to be proud of me. I loved this series. Some of the cheerleaders they featured I just love and their stories are so varied. I want to be friends with Morgan, I felt bad for Lexi, and LOVEDDDD Jerry. This week I also saw Just Mercy in theaters. EVERYONE needs to see that movie. It is about the first person who was taken off of Alabama’s Death Row. The movie breaks your heart, and then fills it with hope.

Read- Educated by Tara Westover. I had started this book last year but I didn’t get a chance to finish it before I had to return it to the library. This week I started listening to the audiobook. I’m glad that I am reading it again because it is fascinating, but it is also gut wrenching. Coming up in the book there has to be a light, it’s been a dark tunnel so far.

Listened to- the Brad Behavior podcast. I love Brad and his guest this week was Kristin Cavallari. I did not like her when she was on Laguna Beach and the Hills, but since her show Very Cavallari has come out, I have grown to like her more. Her jewelry line, Uncommon James, is super cute and I want to visit the store in Nashville, TN, but I will more likely visit the new one in Chicago first!

Celebrated- having heat and blankets and warm clothes. You have to celebrate the small things because without them the big things would not be possible.

Visited- thrift stores! I absolutely love thrifting. This week I scored some scrub tops, a couple of things for my niece, and the BEST THING EVER- A Lizzie McGuire sleeping bag for $2!!! Seriously Cool, right?!

Ate- Churro French Toast from Fort Jesse Café. OMG, it was so good. It was deep fried texas toast covered with powdered sugar, Mexican chocolate syrup, and chocolate shavings. There was also syrup on the side, but I did not feel that I needed that!

Wore- warm neutrals. I wore a lot of neutral colors this week, but also clothes that kept me warm. It was freezing here this week, my car locks even froze!
