This Week I…

Watched- Seth Meyer’s standup special, Lobby Baby, on Netflix. It was absolutely hilarious. I haven’t always been a huge Seth Meyers fan, but recently he has really grown on me. I loved when he told the story of his first child’s birth; I didn’t think it could be topped. This special topped it though. This week I also watched High School Musical and High School Musical Two on Disney Channel. I’m so glad I stumbled across them because I love them. I was jamming out to every single song like my eighth grade self did the first time I watched it.

Read- The Mister by EL James and Still Me by JoJo Moyes. The Mister is from the author of Fifty Shades of Grey, this book was not quite as good as that series. However, it did keep me interested enough to finish the whole thing. But if this book becomes a series, I’m not sure if I would read every book from it. Still Me is the third book by JoJo Moyes about Louisa Clark. The first in the series is Me Before You, which I read before the movie came out. I loved both the book and the movie. Rarely is a sequel or third installment as good as the original, but I think this one might be better. I listened to “Still Me” on audiobook, which may be one of the reasons why I love it more. The book is read by someone British; I think her accent really aids in welcoming the reader into the world of Louisa Clark.

Listened to- Sophia Bush’s Podcast: Work in Progress. The podcast came out recently and I am already obsessed with it. I listened to the episodes with guests; Chelsea Handler, Gloria Steinem, Eva Chen, and Ilana Glazer. Each episode I have listened to is so interesting, inspiring, and thought provoking. I love that at the end of each episode Sophia Bush asks the guest, “It may seem to outsiders like you you’re your life all together, but what do you feel like in your life is still a work in progress?”

Celebrated- fall. I loves seeing the leaves and weather change.

Visited- Meijer. My nieces each won a $25 giftcard to Meijer, so I took them there to spend their money! They were so excited to spend their money and it was so cute to see what they decided to spend their money on. One of them bought a unicorn backpack, a stroller for her baby, and a succulent plant. She had to put back scrunchies and was super disappointed about it. (A girl after my own heart.) The other niece bought a game called “Let’s Go Fishin’” and a huge three pound tub of slime. She still had $1.10 left on her giftcard and assured me she would tuck it away in her wallet, so she wouldn’t lose it.

Ate- Cheese Curd Burger from Buffalo Wild Wings, Saturday night done right!

Wore- sweaters. I am here for Sweater Weather! I love being so cozy but still looking cute.
