This Week I…

Watched- Grown-ish on demand and Divorce on Hulu HBO. I absolutely love Grown-ish. I have not seen one single episode of Black-ish but I am still able to follow the story on Grown-ish completely. I love Zoey on the show. Spoiler: she declares a major of The Sociology of Fashion and I looooove that. I love how the writers think of stuff like that. The examples she used to declare her major were amazing. I also love how the group on the show talks about real issues. This is something that is not often shown on shows featuring college aged people, but it definitely a part of real college life. Also, the clothes on the show are amazing. This show makes me excited to maybe start watching Mixed-ish. ANDDDDDD, on season two, this season, Katherine Moenning (aka Shane from the L Word) guest starred. It was magical. This week I also finished watching Divorce on Hulu through the HBO add on. I love Sarah Jessica Parker and this show is hilarious. The ex-husband, played by Thomas Haden Church, is great. His sudden reactions to things are fantastic. The season ended by opening a few cans of worms. I’m happy to find out that there will be a third season but upset to find out that it will be the last. The seasons are short and there just aren’t enough episodes of this great show!

Read- 1984 by George Orwell. I was supposed to read it in high school and never did. Then as part of the summer reading program this summer at the library, you could read a book you were supposed to read in high school and never did for a prize. I started it this week and so far I’m so so about it. But I am going to press on and finish it because it’s a classic and my dad’s favorite book. He’s not a big reader but he read 1984 from cover to cover. He finished the whole thing in like 12 hours.

Listened to- the For the Girl Podcast from Delight Ministries. I found Delight Ministries on Instagram recently and loved their posts. So far I have just listened to the introduction podcast of the series, but I loved how open and vulnerable the hosts were. I need to take their quiz to find out which girl I am, then listen to that podcast!

Celebrated- both my parents’ birthdays, national book lovers day, and national s’mores day!

Visited- Goodwill. I was looking for some outfits, inspired by Fran Fine, the Nanny, for this next week. I found mostly what I was looking for and some other things, of course. I found a pair of TOMS shoes for my sister. That is a feat because she wears size 12 shoes. Finding shoes that fit her correctly is hard to say the least.

Ate- Nutella S’mores Donuts!

Wore- neutrals with pops of pale pink.
