This Week I…
Watched- Late Night in theaters and The Bachelorette on demand. Late Night is a movie about the first female late night host. Although she was once groundbreaking, she is now out of touch and hires a new writer. Mindy Kaling plays Molly, the new writer. I really liked the movie. It is smart and interesting and hilarious. I will definitely be watching it again when it comes out on DVD. This week I also caught up on The Bachelorette. Before this season I had watched random episodes, but never committed to a full season. My friend, Morgan, and I decided this would be the year we watched it. But I was severely slacking. So, this week I caught up on it and I totally get why people watch it season after season. It’s just light hearted fun, and everyone loves a good love story. I know that a lot of people in “Bachelor Nation” didn’t think Hannah would make a good bachelorette, but I like her! I also think Mike will be the next Bachelor.
Read- but actually listened to The Sun is Also a Star on audiobook. When I first started listening to the book I was not pleased with it. I had just seen the movie and taught that the movie was way better. But now, I’m like 20 minutes from being done with the audiobook and I LOVE THE BOOK. The book goes way more in to detail about Daniel and Natasha’s relationship. It goes deeper into each of their relationships with their parents. The book is just better. (shocker)
Listened to- The Lady Gang podcast featuring Jonathan Bennett (aka Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls). This episode was especially funny and he has really capitalized on his Mean Girls fame. Good for him. I’m just bummed that the Lady Gang is on tour and has a stop two hours from me but it sold out :(
Celebrated- the first day of summer! It rained on that actual day but whateveeeeer.
Visited- the library! I think I found some good summer reads!
Ate- a flag parfait. I haven’t had one of them since I was a kid but when I visited the local ice cream shop I remembered how I used to love them and had to have one again. It wasn’t quite what I remembered but still delicious!

Wore- red, white, and blue! I love the Fourth of July! I started celebrating early.
