This Week I…

Watched- The Fosters on Netflix and Booksmart in theaters. I have about five episodes left of the Fosters and I’m interested to see how everything wraps up. There seems to be so many storylines going in seven hundred directions, that’s how it has been the whole show, and that’s what I like about it, but how will it end?! I’m excited to watch Good Trouble, the spinoff series, season two or season one- part two (I’m not exactly sure) premieres in a couple weeks. So that’s perfect timing. This week I also saw Booksmart in theaters. I LOVED IT! One of my friends told me how great it was, so I went into it with really high expectations and the movie exceeded them. I loved the story line. I love the strong, empowering female friendship. The writing was amazing. The two main actresses were spot on and the music was perfect. I would 10/10 recommend it. I will be watching it again for sure.

Read- My Squirrel Days by Ellie Kemper. I finally finished it! YAY! So excited about that and to move on to more books!

Listened to- more episodes of the Laguna Biotch podcast.

Celebrated- Pride! I think this month is so important. The LGBTQ community is a tight one and those who are out should feel comfortable being a part of the community and amongst straight people. Those who are not out will hopefully see pride ceremonies and feel the courage to come out when it feels right for them. This week I celebrated Pride by getting my nails painted in a rainbow pattern. I wanted to use this as a reminder to everyone that men and women and those in between should feel comfortable to be themselves. Men can paint their nails. Women don’t have to. Everyone is uniquely them. Be proud of who you are.

Visited- the softball fields. My two youngest nieces are playing softball this year for the first time and this week they had their first two games. One of them did amazing! The other one did ok… But they both are into it and having fun and that’s what’s really important at this age.

Ate- Mexican food. A new restaurant opened up a couple weeks ago in town and I tried it this week. It was delicious! I got three tacos (chorizo, gringo, and carnitas), they were amazing. I'm definitely going back and trying like 90% of the menu. Also, the decor and vibe is so cool.

Wore- ice cream. Maybe one day I will be able to eat ice cream and not make a mess of myself, but until then I’ll just happily eat ice cream and wear it on my face and hands.
