This Week (February 18 -24, 2019)

Watched- the new Ken Jeong comedy special (You Complete Me, Ho) on Netflix and saw Isn’t it Romantic? in the movie theater. I also finished the first season of Grace and Frankie on Netflix and am about to watch the Oscars. Hopefully tomorrow I will write a blog about this year’s Oscars and especially the Red Carpet looks.

Read- Educated by Tara Westover. I had this book on hold at the library for months and months. Then when it was finally my turn to check it out, I missed it, and it went to the next person. Now, I am finally reading it! I had to get the large print copy of it, but I honestly don’t mind. The large print gives my eyes a little bit of a rest.

Listened to- the Bible on audio. I have been having it on in the background when I’m falling asleep and it’s very soothing.

Celebrated- my withdrawal from nursing school. I wanted to be a nurse for so long. It’s the path that I had been on for eight years. I was so distraught when I did not pass a class last year and had to wait an entire year to restart the program. When I restarted the program this year, it felt great at first. I felt like I was finally accomplishing my goals and becoming the nurse I wanted to be. Then things took a turn. I didn’t like how I was feeling every day. I was stressed and anxious and taking out my frustrations on people who did not deserve it. I decided to withdraw from the program and change the course of my life. I thought I would be frightened, because I was making this huge change in my life, but once I really made the decision, I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I knew then that I had made the right decision.

Ate- Movie theater popcorn, with alllllll the butter

Wore- leopard print. I wore so much leopard print this week. One of the leopard print pieces I wore this week was this top from Royal and Reese.
