My sister got married yesterday and her reception is tomorrow, so I thought it was about time I wrote something about the Bridal Shower I hosted for her.

There was not a specific theme, except it was supposed to be in the same motif as her wedding. Her wedding decorations will be springy with a pink, orange, and green color palette. The shower was hosted in the morning, so it was kind of a ladies who brunch type of vibe. For food, I chose light sandwiches, fruit, muffins, and cake.

We spent the majority of the shower playing games. When everyone first walked in they were to drop off their gift, sign a custom Cubs jersey, guess how many kisses were in the jar, and then grab a ring. The ring could be taken away if the person said bride or dress.

At the tables, there was another game to get people moving. Around the room I hid pictures of TV Brides. The guests had to guess who was the bride in the picture, what the groom’s name was, and what show they were from. They were awarded points for each answer and the winner got a gift certificate to a local movie theater.

Once everyone got to the shower and got settled, I said a welcome and invited everyone to play a silly game I found on Pinterest. It was a Minute-to-Win-It type of game where they had one minute to see how many peach rings they could get on a stick without using their hands. There were two winners who each got five peach rings on their stick. Each of them got a peach scented candle!

Then it was time for the presents! My sister, the bride, got quite a few great things and was sure not to break any bows!

Once the presents were done, we played one last game that I ordered from Oriental Trading. I ordered some Bridal Lottery Scratch Off Tickets! My sister loves playing the lotto, so I thought this was a fun thing. There were three winners and they each got some real scratch offs.

Finally, I served a beautiful cake from a local bakery,

and offered up the photo booth to everyone. My dad helped me build the photo booth and I think I will continue to use it for all future parties. It was so handy. I also made a large diamond ring prop to use in the photo booth.

Overall, I think a great time was had by all!
