This Week (April 29, 2019-May 5, 2019)
This Week I…
Watched- Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and Knock Down the House on Netflix. I also finished the Act on Hulu and caught up on The Bold Type which airs on Freeform. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is a movie about Ted Bundy, the serial killer, and how his HORRIFIC actions affected his longtime girlfriend. Zac Efron played Ted Bundy and at first I had a hard time believing Zac as Ted, but as the movie went on, it really sucked me in. There were several shots of Zac looking in the mirror and he looked just like Ted Bundy. The whole story though is just truly terrible. I feel so bad for the families. I read an article a while ago about how the media portrays Ted Bundy as this incredibily smart person, he was able to escape twice and was his own lawyer, but he actually wasn’t super smart, he was just a privileged white male. This movie made me agree with that over and over again. Knock Down the House is a documentary about the 2018 Primary Elections and the record number of women who ran for office. It is specifically about four of those women, one of them being Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I love her and it was really interesting to see a behind the scenes look at her grassroots campaign. The Act was an eight episode limited series on Hulu about Dee Dee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Dee Dee Blanchard medically abused her daughter Gypsy Rose for years and years until Gypsy ultimately found someone to murder her mother. The whole story is absolutely insane. The series was well done, but I wish the last episode had shown more of the trial. Maybe there will be a second season that shows the trial. Finally, I caught up on the Bold Type on Freeform. The Bold Type is about three friends who work at a magazine. One is a writer, one a fashion assistant, and one is the social media director. The friends are incredibly close and supportive of each other. They talk about everything from their jobs to their sex lives to their childhoods. I love love love the show, it’s open discussions, and THE CLOTHES. Last night, I watched Saturday Night Live. I typically love it, but this week Adam Sandler was the host and he hadn't been back to the show since he was a cast member. I LOVED his tribute to Chris Farley. I also watched the Billboard Music Awards and wrote a whole blog post about it.

Read- My Squirrel Days by Ellie Kemper. Hopefully I will finish it soon!
Listened to- Me! By Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie.
Celebrated- a new high follower count on Instagram. While followers are not everything, gaining more of them makes me more appealing to brands. I hope I will continue gaining followers and work with more brands of my choosing.
Visited- local parks, between the rain storms. The flowers are blooming and it looks so pretty!
Ate- or drank, really, the S’mores Frappuccino from Starbucks. It’s back for the summer and I could not be more excited about it. It’s so delicious and doesn’t have any calories at all.

Wore- more florals, for spring, groundbreaking.
